You know you want support after baby arrives, but maybe you've had a hard time finding the right person. Someone that has had their own babies so they understand personally how impactful this experience is. Someone who's not your family, isn't tied to any hospital or center, and someone who's trained to hear you instead of all the noise around you.
Hey there, my name is Lana.
As a mom of 4, I can confidently say that I know first-hand how important it is to have the best support for birth and when baby arrives. I'm passionate about finding your best path through the forest of parenthood. We'll navigate what life may look like, day-to-day tasks, talk about the technical stuff...and most importantly, we'll talk about what you really need emotionally, mentally, and physically to be seen and heard as the whole person you are.
This time of your life is meant for you to be cared for just as much as your baby. It's meant to build your bond with your baby while being nourished into your new self. Birth and postpartum don't have to be scary. It can be beautiful, transformational and supported.

I believe you should know who you're inviting into your birth space and your home. Birth is a journey into the wild where you become a new version of you that you've never met before. Your birth and postpartum support team should align with your style, your energy, and offer the type of experience you need.
My faceted identity revolves between wife, mom to four kids, Jesus-follower and cat-lover. I've experienced my own birth traumas, and I've experienced second-hand trauma from other's births. That is exactly what makes me a great doula.
I've been in the dark, I know how things get there: Less knowledge, less resources, less support. The darkness isn't what happens in birth...it's how you perceive your experience. Did you feel like you were actively participating in decisions? Did you feel like the people around you cared for you and what you needed or wanted? And most importantly, did you feel seen, understood, and respected?
The most important thing I learned from the darkest parts of birth witnessing: You don't have to do this alone, without support or resources.
Hire someone trained to help you navigate this transformation into your new mother identity. If that means me or someone most aligned to you, then I've done my job.
